Welcome to Southwest's Online Advising, which is designed to supplement our "in-person" services for current, new, and prospective students. We are here to provide you with links to the appropriate academic departments and/or college services. Online Advising is generally best suited to questions about concrete, specific issues. All emails will be answered in a timely fashion, but delays will occur on weekends and holidays, and responses may be slowed during our busier registration periods.
Please keep these guidelines in mind when using Online Advising. In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), advisors cannot give out personal information such as:
- phone numbers
- social security numbers
- financial aid information
The Online Advising service is not intended for degree audits, transcript evaluations, scheduling of classes, or certification for graduation. Most importantly, for returning students, Online Advising is not an alternative to meeting with your assigned faculty advisor. If needed, use the steps shown on the Find My Advisor page to look up your advisor.
When requesting Online Advising please try to identify yourself using your Student ID number (if known) or Southwest email address. To get started with Online Advising complete and submit the Online Advising Request data form.
